Depending on the payment method, relevant transaction information may be transmitted to the payment provider for authorization and processing. We generally do not receive or store complete banking credentials or other authentication information handled directly by your financial institution or payment provider.

4. SHOPIFY AND SERVICE PROVIDERS

Our online store is powered by Shopify. Shopify and other service providers may process certain personal information to provide website hosting, checkout, payment, security, analytics and other services necessary to operate our online store.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to service providers involved in payment processing, order fulfillment, shipping or delivery, website operations, customer support, analytics and other legitimate business operations.

These parties should receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform the relevant service and are subject to their respective legal and contractual privacy obligations.

5. DELIVERY AND SHIPPING

When you request delivery or shipping, we may provide necessary information—such as your name, contact number, delivery address and relevant order information—to our courier, delivery partner or shipping provider so that your order can be delivered.

We do not provide prescription or health information to delivery providers unless necessary and legally permissible for the particular transaction.

6. COOKIES AND WEBSITE TECHNOLOGIES

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the online store, remember customer preferences, maintain shopping carts, improve security, understand website usage and improve the customer experience.

Your browser may allow you to restrict or delete cookies. Disabling certain cookies may affect some features of the website.

7. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do not disclose personal information except when reasonably necessary for legitimate business purposes, fulfillment of customer transactions, compliance with legal or regulatory obligations, protection of our rights or customers, or where you have provided consent.

We may disclose relevant information to Shopify, payment processors, financial institutions, couriers, delivery providers, technology providers, professional advisers, regulators or government authorities when permitted or required by law.

8. DATA SECURITY

We take reasonable organizational, physical and technical measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, misuse or destruction.

However, no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Customers should therefore also take reasonable precautions to protect their account credentials and personal information.

9. DATA RETENTION

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to complete transactions, maintain appropriate pharmacy and business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and comply with applicable legal, regulatory, tax and accounting requirements.

When information is no longer reasonably required and there is no legal basis requiring its continued retention, we will take appropriate steps to securely delete, destroy or anonymize it.

10. YOUR DATA PRIVACY RIGHTS

Subject to applicable law and applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:

• Be informed about the processing of your personal information
• Access personal information we maintain about you
• Object to certain processing of your personal information

• Request erasure or blocking of information when legally appropriate
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
• Exercise your right to data portability when applicable

• File a complaint with the National Privacy Commission

We may need to verify your identity before processing certain privacy requests.

11. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

If you consent to receive promotional emails, SMS messages or other marketing communications from us, you may withdraw your consent or unsubscribe at any time.

You may still receive non-promotional communications necessary for your orders, transactions, account, prescription processing, customer support or other services you have requested.

12. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Our online store is intended for persons legally capable of entering into transactions or persons using the service with appropriate parental or guardian involvement.

CONSENT AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By providing personal information to Homehealth Pharmacy, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand how your information may be processed as described above. Where consent is required by law, we will obtain such consent through an appropriate method.

The rights section above reflects the NPC’s published list of rights, including being informed, access, objection, rectification, erasure/blocking, portability, damages and filing a complaint.

One important point: because this is a pharmacy, I deliberately did not say that simply using the website means the customer “consents to everything.” Under Philippine privacy rules, consent—when it is the legal basis—needs to be freely given, specific and informed.

After you paste this into the Shopify box, do not turn “Use automated policy” back ON, because Shopify could replace/synchronize the customized wording again.
