Description

Treatment of susceptible protozoal infections and in the treatment & prophylaxis of anaerobic bacterial infections.

Indications

Amebiasis; Bacterial vaginosis; Intra-abdominal infection; Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID); Skin and soft tissue infection.

Administration

May administer with food to minimize GI upset.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to metronidazole and other nitroimidazoles or any component of the formulation. Refer to manufacturer labeling for further detail.

Headache, Dryness in mouth, Nausea, Glossitis, Metallic taste, Stomatitis, Muscle pain
